Thanksgiving Menus Revealed for Diddy, Duggar, and Other Inmates
As Thanksgiving approaches, several high-profile inmates, including Sean “Diddy” Combs, Josh Duggar, Fetty Wap (real name Willie Maxwell II), and Jared Fogle, will experience the holiday behind bars. Each will partake in a special meal on November 27, 2024, as confirmed by various sources, including Us Weekly.
For Diddy, who is currently serving a 50-month sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey, the Thanksgiving feast will include roasted turkey with gravy, along with an alternative option of soy chicken and vegetables. Accompanying the main course will be sides of cornbread, baked sweet potatoes, and corn. A light dinner will follow, featuring either a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a deli sandwich, complemented by potato chips and fruit. Diddy’s scheduled release date is set for June 4, 2028.
Duggar, incarcerated at FCI Seagoville in Texas, will also enjoy a festive meal. His menu includes roast turkey with gravy or honey-glazed ham, with options for vegetable lasagna or stuffed peppers for those who prefer meatless dishes. Duggar’s meal will be served with cornbread, green bean casserole, and candied sweet potatoes. To top off the meal, he will have a slice of pecan pie. Duggar is serving a sentence of over 12 years for receiving and possessing child pornography, with a projected release date of December 23, 2032.
Fetty Wap will celebrate Thanksgiving at FCI Sandstone in Minnesota, where he will also receive roasted turkey alongside traditional sides, including mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. His prison is planning a church service and regular recreational activities for the holiday weekend. After being sentenced to six years in prison for drug trafficking, Maxwell is expected to be released earlier than anticipated, on December 8, 2026.
Meanwhile, Jared Fogle, known for his role as a spokesperson for Subway, will be enjoying roast turkey or honey ham at FCI Englewood in Colorado. His meal will consist of mashed potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole, and options for dessert including pumpkin or cherry pie. Fogle is serving a lengthy sentence of 15 years and eight months for child pornography charges, with a scheduled release date of March 24, 2029.
In a reflection on the significance of Thanksgiving within the prison system, Justin Slavinski, an incarcerated writer, noted, “Beyond the food, Thanksgiving is one of the few times of the year that we are treated with respect and dignity by those responsible for us.” He highlighted the positive interactions inmates often experience during the holiday, making it a unique occasion in the prison calendar.
As these inmates observe Thanksgiving behind bars, they will partake in meals that reflect traditional holiday fare, even as they navigate their circumstances.
