Tasha K Strongly Defends Nicki Minaj Against Mental Health Rumors
Rumors regarding Nicki Minaj‘s mental health have resurfaced, prompting social media personality Tasha K to publicly defend the rapper. In a passionate statement shared on Twitter/X, Tasha K asserted that Minaj does not suffer from schizophrenia, likening her experience to that of other public figures such as Wendy Williams and Britney Spears.
Tasha K’s post aimed to challenge the narrative surrounding Minaj’s mental health, stating, “Y’all gonna stop twisting my damn words! Nicki Minaj ain’t got no damn schizophrenia! Let’s be real — most of us got a little bipolar and crazy in us, and that’s facts!” Her comments come after a recent exchange with fellow rapper Cardi B, who alleged that Minaj had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder for nearly nine years.
In her defense of Minaj, Tasha K drew upon the experiences of other celebrities, highlighting the stigma often associated with mental health issues. She referenced the treatment of Kanye West, who faced attempts to have him committed due to his bipolar disorder, and the struggles of Williams and Spears, who have both experienced highly publicized challenges regarding their mental health and personal freedom.
“This is a systemic industry takedown — meant to make her look incapable of managing her own money,” Tasha K continued. She also mentioned Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, suggesting that external pressures intensified after Minaj tweeted about the Covid Vaccine.
The social media conflict between Cardi B and Minaj escalated when Minaj made a playful comment about Cardi’s relationship with Stefon Diggs, who is reportedly expecting their fourth child together. Cardi B responded with accusations regarding Minaj’s mental health, stating, “Quiet as kept the truth is you BEEN diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar for almost 9 years and you also on heavy drugs COCAINE.. PERCS.. AND XANAX!!!”
This exchange highlights the ongoing tensions between the two artists, who have had a contentious relationship over the years. As public figures, both Minaj and Cardi B find themselves under constant scrutiny, which can amplify personal issues and conflicts.
Tasha K’s defense emphasizes the need for compassion and understanding when discussing mental health, particularly in the context of celebrity culture. The implications of such rumors not only affect the individuals involved but also contribute to broader societal stigmas surrounding mental health. As the narrative continues to unfold, the focus remains on the impact of public perception on those in the spotlight.
