New Bonne Vie Brasserie Opens at Westgate Hotel in San Diego

Bonne Vie Brasserie & Bar has officially opened its doors at the Westgate Hotel in downtown San Diego. This new all-day restaurant and bar, which debuted on October 25, 2023, showcases a European-influenced culinary experience, led by Executive Chef Fabrice Hardel.

Located in the hotel’s lobby, Bonne Vie operates daily from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering a diverse menu that blends classic French cuisine with American favorites. Chef Hardel, who has been the culinary leader at Westgate since 2001, brings over 30 years of experience from his time at restaurants across France, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

A Taste of France in San Diego

The menu at Bonne Vie features a range of signature French dishes reimagined to appeal to American palates. Guests can indulge in classic offerings such as Burgundy escargot and French onion soup, alongside the Icelandic cod meunière. American comfort food items like the fried chicken sandwich and braised short rib also find a place on the menu.

Breakfast is served from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The restaurant also features happy hour specials from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., inviting guests to unwind with tailored drink and food selections.
