Sonoma Deputies Uncover Stolen Mail Operation, 90 Victims Affected

URGENT UPDATE: Sonoma County deputies have discovered a significant identity theft operation in Boyes Hot Springs, uncovering a trove of stolen mail connected to over 90 victims. The shocking find occurred on November 13, 2023, during a search warrant execution at a residence located on Boyes Boulevard.

Authorities report that the operation includes a vast array of stolen items, such as credit cards, checks, and personal mail. This discovery marks a troubling escalation in local reports of mail theft and fraud, prompting an urgent investigation by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested Keny Castaneda-Tellez during the search. He now faces serious charges including identity theft, credit card theft, and possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, with his bail set at $50,000. Another suspect, Eriberto Bejines, was arrested earlier, on November 10, for possession of stolen property and identity theft.
