King Luther Capital Increases Stake in Stryker Corporation by 7.9%

King Luther Capital Management Corp has increased its investment in Stryker Corporation (NYSE: SYK) by 7.9% during the second quarter of the fiscal year. According to a recent disclosure to the Securities and Exchange Commission, the firm now holds 447,479 shares of the medical technology company, having acquired an additional 32,682 shares during this period. This latest acquisition brings the total value of King Luther’s stake in Stryker to approximately $177,036,000.

Several other institutional investors have also made adjustments to their holdings in Stryker. For instance, Mid American Wealth Advisory Group Inc. purchased a new position valued at about $26,000. Meanwhile, Sachetta LLC increased its stake by 58.7%, now owning 73 shares worth around $29,000 after buying an additional 27 shares. Ridgewood Investments LLC, in a similar move, boosted its position by 48.4%, bringing its total to 92 shares valued at $36,000.

Stryker’s stock is primarily held by institutional investors, who collectively own 77.09% of the company. As Stryker continues to attract investor interest, analysts have been revising their price targets for the stock. For example, Wells Fargo & Company upgraded its price objective from $435.00 to $445.00, assigning an “overweight” rating. Similarly, Needham & Company LLC raised its target price from $442.00 to $448.00 while maintaining a “buy” rating.

Shares of Stryker opened at $355.74 on Friday, with a fifty-day moving average of $374.63 and a two-hundred day moving average of $381.22. The company boasts a market capitalization of $136.04 billion, a P/E ratio of 47.12, and a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.70. Over the past year, Stryker’s stock has experienced a low of $329.16 and a high of $406.19.

In its most recent earnings report released on October 30, 2023, Stryker reported earnings per share (EPS) of $3.19, surpassing analysts’ expectations of $3.13. The company’s revenue for the quarter reached $6.06 billion, exceeding forecasts of $6.04 billion. This represents an increase of 10.2% compared to the same quarter the previous year. Stryker has provided guidance for fiscal year 2025, projecting an EPS between 13.500 and 13.600.

Recent insider trading activity has also drawn attention. On August 25, 2023, insider Viju Menon sold 500 shares at an average price of $390.61, totaling $195,305.00.
