Sally J. Ifkovits, Beloved Community Leader, Passes Away at 62
URGENT UPDATE: Sally J. Ifkovits, a cherished member of the Northampton community, has passed away at the age of 62. She died peacefully on November 20, 2025, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Sally, who dedicated over 32 years to serving the community through her role at People First Federal Credit Union, was known for her compassion and commitment. Her husband, Michael J. Ifkovits, shared 37 years of marriage with her, and together they built a loving family that included their sons, Riley and Alex, along with their families.
Her grandson, Paxton, was her greatest joy, often described as the light of her life. Sally’s legacy extends beyond her family; she leaves behind a profound impact on her colleagues and friends who admired her dedication and kindness.
A visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, December 2nd, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Reichel Funeral Home, located at 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Following the visitation, a prayer service will begin at 11:00 a.m.. Sally will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, Northampton.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley in her memory.

As the community mourns this significant loss, Sally J. Ifkovits will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but also for the warmth she brought into the lives of everyone around her.
