Performers Gear Up for 6abc Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Parade
PHILADELPHIA, PA — With just less than 48 hours until the highly anticipated 6abc Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade, performers are finalizing their routines and bringing the holiday magic to life. Crews are working tirelessly to ensure everything is ready for the big day on November 23, 2023.
“The dancers are excited and working really hard,” expressed Bernard Gaddis of the Contemporary West Dance Theater. “We can’t wait to celebrate Thanksgiving with everyone in Philly.” The excitement is palpable as hundreds prepare to dazzle the audience with vibrant performances and stunning floats.
As the countdown continues, the parade promises to be bigger and better than ever. “It’s not just us; there are floats, singers, and other performers,” said Ryan Skrocki, a dancer with the Holiday Magic Professional Dancers. Mike McGraw, an associate producer, revealed, “We have a lot of new balloons this year,” adding to the festive atmosphere.
One standout feature this year is the appearance of Daniel Tiger, who will serve as the parade’s drum major. “He’s the first balloon in the parade,” announced Chally Rowjohn, the creative producer. Also joining the lineup is Ray from Good Morning America, further enhancing the star-studded event.
Returning for his 27th year, parade producer John Best is committed to showcasing the spirit of the community. “We have singers and dancers, along with many local participants,” said Best. “We’re thrilled to bring this celebration to the nation.”
As the city buzzes with preparations, the parade is set to be a heartwarming event that brings together families and friends, creating lasting memories. The parade route will see street closures, so attendees are encouraged to plan accordingly.
Tune in tomorrow as the excitement builds, and don’t miss the chance to witness this beloved Philadelphia tradition. The 6abc Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade is not just a celebration; it’s a testament to the community spirit that defines the city.
