URGENT UPDATE: Raleigh, NC, is currently grappling with dense fog and rain, creating hazardous conditions for residents. The National Weather Service (NWS) warns of significantly reduced visibility and 100% humidity as rain continues to fall throughout the morning.

According to the latest reports, rainfall is expected to persist until 2 p.m., accumulating between 0.5 to 0.75 inches. Temperatures hover around 47 degrees, with winds shifting from the north to the west as the afternoon progresses.

Residents should prepare for a significant change as skies are predicted to clear later tonight. Temperatures will drop to around 29 degrees, and winds will calm after midnight.

Looking ahead, a bright outlook is on the horizon. Wednesday is set to bring sunny skies with a high near 48 degrees. The night will remain mostly clear, with a low around 30 degrees.

However, conditions will shift again by Friday, with a 60% chance of rain anticipated in the afternoon and a high near 41 degrees. Friday night will see increased cloud cover, with a 70% chance of rain and lows around 34 degrees. Rain will persist into the weekend but is expected to gradually decrease by Sunday, which will be mostly sunny, with partly cloudy skies at night, and a low near 32 degrees.
