URGENT UPDATE: Audi has just unveiled its groundbreaking AUDI E SUV concept in China, promising an impressive 670 horsepower and a remarkable range of 435 miles. This cutting-edge electric vehicle, co-developed with local partner SAIC, marks a significant leap forward for Audi’s new electric sub-brand, which launched only a year ago.
The AUDI E SUV concept is built on the innovative PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture, showcasing a blend of Audi’s iconic design and state-of-the-art technology. At the unveiling, Fermín Soneira, CEO of Audi and SAIC cooperation, emphasized, “This concept embodies our vision for premium electric mobility by fusing Audi’s engineering heritage with digital innovation.”
With dual electric motors delivering a combined output of 500 kW (~670 hp), the AUDI E SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just about five seconds. It features a robust 109 kWh battery that supports 800V Advanced Digital Platform technology, enabling rapid charging capabilities. In fact, this SUV can gain approximately 200 miles of range in under 10 minutes at high-powered DC fast charging stations.
The AUDI E SUV is designed for the future, equipped with the AUDI 360 Driving Assist System. This advanced technology aims to provide drivers with a safe and relaxed experience, whether navigating highways or bustling city streets.
Despite the excitement surrounding the AUDI E SUV, details on pricing have yet to be revealed. As the AUDI sub-brand continues to gain traction in China, the prospects of this model arriving in other markets, including the United States, remain uncertain.
The unveiling of the AUDI E SUV concept not only highlights Audi’s commitment to electric mobility but also reinforces the brand’s prestige and innovation in the automotive industry. As electric vehicle technology advances, this announcement is set to resonate with enthusiasts and potential buyers alike.
