Antioch Pedestrian Struck by Driver, in Critical Condition

UPDATE: A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Antioch on Friday night. The collision occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. at the on-ramp to eastbound Highway 4 and Hillcrest Avenue, according to the Antioch Police Department.

Emergency responders found the victim, a 63-year-old Antioch man, lying in the roadway with severe injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition as of late Friday.

The driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities, who have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
