SpaceX Set to Launch 60th Falcon 9 Rocket from Vandenberg
SpaceX is preparing to launch its 60th Falcon 9 rocket of the year from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on December 4, 2025. The mission, known as Starlink 15-10, will deploy an additional 27 broadband internet satellites into the company’s extensive low Earth orbit constellation. This launch is part of a larger effort that has seen SpaceX deploy over 2,800 satellites in 2025 alone.
The Falcon 9 is set to lift off from Space Launch Complex 4 East at 21:28 PST (12:28 EST / 05:28 UTC). Coverage of the launch will begin approximately 30 minutes prior to liftoff, as provided by Spaceflight Now.
Details of the Mission
The upcoming launch will utilize the Falcon 9 first stage booster with the tail number B1081. This booster has previously supported notable missions, including NASA’s Crew-7, CRS-29, PACE, and TRACERS. The mission will mark the 20th flight of B1081.
Approximately 8.5 minutes after liftoff, B1081 is expected to land on the drone ship named ‘Of Course I Still Love You’. If successful, this will represent the 166th landing on this particular vessel and the 542nd booster landing overall for SpaceX.
SpaceX continues to advance its capabilities in the field of satellite communications through its Starlink project. With each successful launch, the company aims to enhance internet access globally, particularly in underserved areas.
As the countdown to the launch progresses, anticipation builds within the aerospace community and among satellite internet users worldwide. The success of the Starlink 15-10 mission will further solidify SpaceX’s position as a leader in satellite deployment and space exploration.
