Beloved Community Member Louise Medina Passes Away at 83

Louise Medina, a cherished resident of San Pedro, California, passed away peacefully at her home on November 26, 2025, at the age of 83. Her family has announced that she is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Medina, as well as her children and grandchildren, who remember her fondly.

Louise leaves behind her daughter, Julie Alesso (married to Dave Alesso), her son, John Medina (married to Yvette Medina), and her grandchildren: Taylor Licouris (married to Nick Licouris), Madison Alesso, and Christian Medina. The family has expressed their deep sorrow and gratitude for the time spent with Louise, who touched the lives of many in her community.

A visitation will take place at McNerney’s Mortuary on December 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during this time. Following the visitation, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church on December 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM. The burial will be private, as per Louise’s wishes.

Louise Medina was known for her kindness and dedication to her family, friends, and the San Pedro community. Her legacy will continue through the lives she has impacted, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
