Stockton Police Department Wins Fourth Straight SWAT Title
The Stockton Police Department secured first place at the annual San Joaquin County SWAT competition, held last week on Wednesday and Thursday. This prestigious event, organized by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, featured 15 SWAT teams from various regions across California, all competing in a series of tactical and physical challenges designed to test their skills.
Teams engaged in simulated scenarios, including hostage situations and responses to active shooters. Performance metrics included tactical execution, physical fitness, and firearm proficiency. The Stockton Police Department not only achieved the top overall score but also won the team physical fitness challenge. Additionally, one of their members earned second place in the individual fitness category, further showcasing the team’s capabilities.

The competition serves as a platform for law enforcement teams to exchange best practices and enhance collaboration among agencies. This victory marks the fourth consecutive year that Stockton’s SWAT team has triumphed in this competition, underscoring their commitment to excellence and preparedness.
