The new Netflix House officially opened at Galleria Dallas on December 11, 2023, offering fans a unique way to engage with their favorite shows and movies. Spanning over 100,000 square feet, this permanent exhibit features immersive, story-driven experiences centered around popular titles such as Wednesday, Squid Game, One Piece, Stranger Things, and the A Knives Out Mystery franchise. Dallas becomes the second city in the United States to host a Netflix House, following the launch in Philadelphia.

Prior to the public opening, Netflix hosted a VIP event on December 9 for media, influencers, local celebrities, and executives. Notable attendees included David Harbour and Cara Buono from “Stranger Things,” as well as Alexandra Breckenridge from “Virgin River.” The exclusive gathering provided a sneak peek into the various attractions and activities planned for the venue, which occupies two floors near the mall’s west entrance.

Experiences for Every Fan

Upon entering Netflix House, visitors are greeted by a grand staircase adorned with artwork inspired by beloved shows, providing an ideal backdrop for photographs. Admission to the venue is free, but the two experiential rooms—Stranger Things: Escape the Dark and Squid Game: Survive the Trials—require a fee of $39 per person per room. Each experience lasts approximately one hour, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the worlds of these popular series.

The Squid Game room challenges visitors to play five games, including the infamous Red Light, Green Light. Meanwhile, the Stranger Things room invites guests to embark on a search-and-rescue mission for three missing characters, enhancing the interactive experience.

The main area is dominated by Netflix Bites, a full-service bar and restaurant featuring menu items inspired by various shows and films. Highlights include the Red Bite, Green Bite (chicken bites served with sauces), Emily’s Italian Fling Salad (inspired by “Emily in Paris”), and Huntr/x Power Up Ssam (a grilled pork dish tapping into the K-Pop trend).

Arcade Fun and Merchandise

In a separate room, guests can enjoy Netflix RePLAY, which boasts a collection of games reimagined through a Netflix lens. Interactive activities include a tug-of-war game inspired by Squid Game, a Bridgerton-themed ball maze, and a version of the Floor Is Lava game, among others.

A dedicated gift shop offers a range of merchandise, including T-shirts, cups, keychains, posters, and replica props from Netflix’s most iconic properties. With the streaming giant reportedly negotiating to acquire Warner Bros. Pictures, the venue may soon feature characters and themes from properties like DC Comics, Casablanca, and Sinners, expanding its offerings further.

The Netflix House at Galleria Dallas promises a captivating experience for fans, merging entertainment with interactive fun in a vibrant setting. As the venue continues to evolve, it may redefine the way audiences connect with their favorite content.
