Megan Thee Stallion Exposes Alleged Online Attack by Bots
Megan Thee Stallion has publicly addressed what she claims is a coordinated online attack against her, alleging that paid bots are behind the wave of negative comments she has been receiving. During a livestream over the weekend, the Houston-based rapper expressed her frustration over the situation, stating that the intensity of the criticism feels orchestrated rather than organic.
In the livestream captured by Live Bitez, Megan stated, “When I do peep online and see what y’all doing, I feel like y’all get so easily riled up and easily discouraged when y’all know people get paid to talk crazy about me.” She raised concerns about the nature of the hate directed at her, suggesting it is suspiciously disproportionate. “Like, don’t it seem a little weird like how overwhelming a lot of Megan Thee Stallion hate seem? Like, it don’t seem right, do it?”
Megan went on to elaborate that many of her detractors appear to be individuals with long histories of tweeting about unrelated topics, such as sports, only to suddenly express disdain for her. “These are bots, these are paid people,” she asserted. “If you scroll through some of these people’s tweets, it be a man that’s been tweeting about sports for eight years. Now all of a sudden, he just hate Megan Thee Stallion.”
The rapper urged her fans to disregard the negativity, emphasizing that they should react only when warranted. “When I give y’all something to cry about, cry about it, alright? Then we can start crying. I ain’t gave y’all nothing to cry about yet,” she added, encouraging her supporters to remain calm and focused. “Fight back when it’s a reason to fight. We’re chilling right now, Hotties. We’re listening to ‘Lover Girl,’ babe.”
“Lover Girl,” her latest single, showcases a more intimate side of the artist and is inspired by her current boyfriend, NBA star Klay Thompson. In the track, Megan raps, “Your n**** fantasy, my man reality / I had to lock in when I found out he could handle me.” The song highlights her relationship and her confidence in her personal life.
Megan’s remarks come at a time when social media dynamics increasingly shape public figures’ experiences and interactions with their audiences. The rapper’s call for awareness around paid online harassment sheds light on a broader issue of digital manipulation and its effects on public perception. As the discussion around online criticism evolves, Megan Thee Stallion’s stance may resonate with many who face similar challenges in the digital age.
By addressing this issue openly, Megan not only defends herself but also encourages her followers to critically evaluate the information they consume online. Fans and observers alike will be watching how this situation unfolds and whether it sparks further dialogue about the influence of social media on personal narratives.
