The community of Fairchance is mourning the loss of James Michael “Little Jimmy” Smith, who passed away in his home on November 13, 2025, at the age of 47. Smith, known for his friendly demeanor and dedication, served as a Produce Manager at the Fairchance Shop-n-Save, where he was a familiar face among customers and colleagues alike.

Born on December 16, 1977, James was the beloved son of Michael Smith and Georgia Jean Smith of Uniontown. He is survived by a legacy of warmth and kindness, which he shared generously with those around him. Tragically, James’s passing follows the death of his father, as well as his younger brother, Michael Smith, creating a profound loss for the family and community.

The memorial visitation for James will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on November 26, 2025, at the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME in Fairchance. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate his life, reflecting on his contributions to the community and the joy he brought to those he encountered.
