UPDATE: Today, November 22, marks significant historical events that have shaped the world as we know it. From the tragic assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963 to the founding of the Humane Society of the United States in 1954, this day is packed with pivotal moments.
In a dramatic turn of events on this day in 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. Just 46 years old, he was shot and killed, leading to the immediate swearing-in of Vice President Lyndon Johnson as the 36th President of the United States.
