His resilience has inspired many, as he shares updates about his health journey candidly. “I used to say yes to everybody,” Vitale remarked about managing his workload. Now, he is more selective about his engagements to safeguard his health.

Despite the challenges, Vitale remains committed to his advocacy for pediatric cancer research. The V Foundation, which he co-founded, has raised over $105 million for cancer research in its 20-year history. Vitale continues to promote fundraising efforts, including a current raffle for a 2026 BMW Z4 convertible, emphasizing the importance of community support in his mission.
