Arvest Bank Steps Up with Loans Amid Federal Shutdown Crisis
Arvest Bank is responding to the challenges posed by the federal government shutdown by offering financial assistance to affected customers. Through its Arvest Assist program, the bank aims to provide support to individuals facing paycheck disruptions due to the ongoing situation. This initiative, which was first launched during the previous shutdown from 2018 to 2019, underscores the bank’s commitment to its community.
In conjunction with the Disaster Relief Loan Program, available until November 21, 2023, Arvest Bank is offering loans ranging from $500 to $10,000. Notably, there are no payments required for the first 120 days, although interest will accrue during this initial period. This program is accessible to both new and existing customers across Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
“Many Americans are facing uncertainty and hardship during the government shutdown,” stated Lori Winesburg, sales manager for Arvest Bank’s Fort Smith Region. “As a community-focused bank, our mission is to help others succeed. We hope this assistance provides customers relief and peace of mind.”
Customers interested in the Disaster Relief Loan Program can apply by calling (888) 812-7407, available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.. They may also reach out to their local branch or visit arvest.com/assistance for further assistance with paycheck disruptions.
Additional Support for Customers
Arvest Bank is also extending its support to various financial services, including checking accounts, mortgages, personal loans, credit cards, and Treasury Management services. While small business and agricultural loan applications will continue to be processed, the bank has indicated that closings and funding will remain on hold until the government shutdown concludes.
In light of the shutdown, Arvest Bank has also warned customers to remain vigilant against potential scams. Fraudsters often exploit such situations by impersonating government agencies or financial institutions, making it crucial for individuals to stay alert.
For more information about the Disaster Relief Loan Program and other services provided by Arvest Bank, customers can visit the bank’s official website or their nearest branch. The bank’s proactive approach during this challenging time aims to alleviate some of the financial stress faced by many due to the federal shutdown.
