The College of Engineering & Computer Science has achieved a significant milestone, climbing in the U.S. News & World Report rankings, as announced in a recent communication from the college’s leadership. This advancement highlights the commitment and excellence exhibited by students, faculty, and staff, while also underscoring the vital support from alumni and friends that makes such achievements possible.
Notable Lectures and Engagements
In September 2025, the college commenced its Hulings Distinguished Lecture Series, featuring a keynote lecture by S. Sundar Manoharan, Ph.D., from Pandit Deendayal Energy University. Dr. Manoharan led a captivating discussion focusing on the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy, a topic of critical importance in the current global energy landscape. Events like this contribute significantly to enriching the academic community and fostering meaningful dialogue among students and faculty.
This autumn also marks a period of heightened activity for the college. The McDougall School of Petroleum Engineering recently participated in the Society of Petroleum Engineers Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition held in Houston.
