Community Mourns the Loss of Kevin Paul Larson at 66
Kevin Paul Larson, aged 66, passed away on October 15, 2025, in Port Charlotte, Florida, following a prolonged battle with cancer. His family confirmed that he died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in 1959 in Duluth, Minnesota, Kevin was the son of John and Mary Larson. He graduated from Denfeld High School in 1977 and later attended Dunwoody College, where he pursued further education. Throughout his life, Kevin was known for his dedication to family and his community.
Kevin is preceded in death by his father, John J. Larson, and his son, Dylan Baron Larson. He is survived by his mother, Mary Larson, who resides in Duluth. Kevin leaves behind two children, Nick (Faith) Larson and Hayley Larson, as well as several siblings: Kerry (Xiuping) Larson, Kathy (Jim) Sandstedt, Kris Larson, and Kent (DawnMarie) Larson.
In addition to his immediate family, Kevin was a proud grandfather to four cherished grandchildren: Brooklyn, Parker, Preston, and Cheyenne. His family has expressed deep sorrow over his passing, stating that he will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and the love he shared with those around him.
The community of Port Charlotte is mourning the loss of a dedicated family member and a respected figure. Friends and acquaintances remember Kevin as someone who always offered a helping hand and a listening ear. His legacy will undoubtedly live on through the lives he touched and the memories he created.
A memorial service is being planned to honor Kevin’s life, where family and friends will gather to share stories and celebrate his enduring spirit. More details will be released in the coming days as arrangements are finalized.
