On **Tuesday**, Austin will enjoy a **sunny reprieve**, with temperatures climbing to a high near **58 degrees**. However, don’t get too comfortable; **Wednesday’s forecast** turns cloudy again, with highs reaching the mid-60s. A gentle southward wind at about **5 mph** will accompany the clouds, but the real concern arrives late at night.
The NWS warns of potential showers and thunderstorms between **midnight and 3 AM** on Wednesday, with a **30 percent chance of precipitation**. As we move into **Thursday**, the situation worsens, with the likelihood of rain and thunderstorms rising to **50 percent**. Expect a **cool high of around 54 degrees** and gusty north winds up to **20 mph**. Thursday night could also bring a **40 percent chance of showers**, with lows settling around **41 degrees**.
By **Friday morning**, rain chances decrease to **20 percent**, transitioning to mostly cloudy conditions with highs in the upper **50s**.
Looking ahead, the weekend forecast is **bright and warm**, with conditions improving significantly. A mostly sunny **Saturday** is expected, with highs in the upper **60s**, followed by a pleasant **Sunday** that could see temperatures peak in the low **70s**.
