CMPD Urges Donations for Annual Holiday Toy Drive by Dec 21
UPDATE: The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) has just launched its annual Explorers Christmas Project, urgently calling on the community to donate new, unwrapped toys for children up to 14 years old. This initiative aims to bring holiday cheer to families facing challenges during this festive season.
In a social media announcement, CMPD emphasized the importance of community support, stating, “Every year our CMPD Explorers Christmas Project helps bring holiday cheer to families in need.” The police department is encouraging residents of Charlotte-Mecklenburg to act quickly, with a donation deadline set for December 21. Contributions can be dropped off at any CMPD division office or the Law Enforcement Center.
As temperatures drop, the need for warmth and joy increases. The CMPD is urging the community to join their mission of bringing light to those in need this holiday season. “Help us spread joy to families in need this holiday season!” the department urged, appealing to the generosity of local residents.
The Explorers Christmas Project has a storied history of fostering community spirit and supporting families during tough times. The initiative not only provides toys but also nurtures a sense of togetherness among residents, proving the power of giving, especially when times are tough.
Residents are reminded that every toy donated can significantly impact a child’s holiday experience. As the festive season approaches, CMPD is counting on the community’s compassion to ensure that no child goes without a gift this year.
What’s Next: Community members are encouraged to share the news and participate in this vital cause. Whether it’s a single toy or a collection, every contribution matters. The CMPD is ready to accept donations now until the deadline, and together, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community can create a brighter holiday for families in need.
