UPDATE: Boulder County has just announced a vibrant lineup of holiday events for 2025, offering something for everyone, especially for families and those visiting loved ones this season. With events spanning from December 5 to December 21, residents and visitors alike can look forward to a festive array of concerts, performances, and community gatherings that promise to spread cheer throughout the region.

This holiday season, engage Grandma with activities she will love! The highly anticipated “Extremely Wonderful New York Holiday Radio Show” by the Rocky Mountain Revels will take the stage at the Dairy Arts Center, located at 2590 Walnut St, Boulder. Performances will be held at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on December 21-22. Tickets range from $28.75 to $57.50 and are available at thedairy.org. This lively production features music, dance, and audience participation—a perfect way to celebrate the winter solstice!

The show draws from a rich tradition established in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1971, and has been embraced by Boulder since the local troupe’s inception in 2002. This year’s performance promises a unique twist—a live radio broadcast that hilariously unravels as the headlining performers go missing, showcasing the diverse talents of the Boulder community.

Diana Norcross and Crista de la Garza are among the cast members who have been rehearsing tirelessly, infusing the show with energy and creativity. Executive Director Darren Kelly emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating that “this is one of the few chances to see your friends and neighbors put on a professional show.”
